Robert Haley

Mr. Haley joined the IBM Corporation after a three year tour of duty as a commissioned officer in the U. S. Army. His IBM Career spanned twenty-five years where he progressed through the sales and marketing ranks establishing himself as a proven marketeer. In 1979 he was appointed Marketing Manager in Philadelphia and was responsible for the sales and service of all small and mid-range information systems. In 1993 he was assigned to the training division where he traveled throughout the U.S. as well as nine foreign countries providing training for middle and senior level managers in the areas of human resource development. In 1990 he went to Georgia Tech and served as Director of Financial Aid for two years. In his current position he is responsible for identifying, recruiting and supporting African American candidates for the Masters and PhD degrees in Engineering. He has developed two major programs FOCUS and INSIGHT designed specifically for this effort.

He is active in many civic and professional organizations and serves as an officer of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. He is a life member of the NAACP and is an active and life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
